I had the same problem when I was installing my 3575 library; it was
recommended that I remove the drive (In AIX ----> rmdev -dl rmtx) and then I
ran cfgmgr (config. manager) to reinstall the drives and everything was fine.
Hope this helps

Subject: Problem with DLT7000 Tape Library

Hi,

perhaps someone can give me a hint :

I want to install an Overland LXB 7210 with 4 drives.
Environment : ADSM 2.1.0.15 on AIX 4.1.4
(Atape 4.1.0.7, atldd 3.1.5.0 just refreshed)

With the dsmlabel-program I can lable all tapes using all 4 drives.
I can checkin the tapes with the barcode-option.

If I try an
adsm> move data source-vol stg=(on DLTLIB)
I get the following error in the activity log :

ANR8447E No drives are currently available in library DLTLIB
ANR1401W Mount request denied for volume K00001 - mount failed

But all DLT-drives are empty ......
So what can I check/do ?

Many thanks in advance

Martin
