Re: GUI speed versus command line

Jeff,
Our experience is with ADSM V2 on AIX Server and UNIX Clients.
The GUI restores take longer because of the wait to display file data in
the GUI, especially when searching through inactive files.
If I execute a restore request from command line, I'm usually recovering
a bulk of data and know the path to that data. I don't use the "-PICK"
option. I don't know how the "-PICK" option will affect a commmand line
restore. I've never done one.
Also, the discussions on this list indicate that ADSM V3 is supposed
to improve GUI response times when querying inactive files for restores.
