3570 Problem!!
1998-05-13 05:29:40
Hi ADSM'ers
I have come across a small problem with an IBM 3570 B02 running under
Windows NT4 SP3, with ADSM server version 3.1.1.1.
I can define the library, the two drives and the appropriate device
class with no problem.
I have labeled 18 tape's fine using the dsmlabel command.
When i try to checkin the tape volumes with :
"checkin libv 3570 status=scratch search=yes checkl=yes"
I get a Dr Watson error relating to file "dsmsvc.exe" and it shuts down
the ADSM server.
The entry in the activity log is as follows:
ANR8422I CHECKIN LIBVOLUME: Operation for library 3570 started as
process
ANR9999D pkthread.c(2600): ADSM Exception Information: Code = c0000005,
Address = 101c4679Attempt to write data at address 10
ANR8440E Initialization failed for SCSI library 3570; will retry in 2
minute(s).
Please HELP!!!!!!!!
