What ADSM server platform are you talking about? This device has been
supported on ADSM/NT since V2 ptf4. You should be able to find the element
addresses information from the readme.dev file associated with V2 ptf4 or V3
ptf1 -
drive 1 has element address 23, drive 2 has element address 24.
This device is known as 7331-306 (different product number) for the AIX and
SUN platform.
To define a library to ADSM, you always go through the same basic procedure:
a) Define Library
b) Define Drive
c) Define Devclass
d) Define Stgpool

Subject: How to define IBM 3449 ATR to ADSM
How can I define our 8mm Mammoth drives (IBM 3449-356) to ADSM?
It has 170m 20GB tapes in a rack of 22 tapes. ADSM does not list this
model so what are the steps to define this tape machine?
