Howdy,

some time not before long i remember a thread passed through this list
discussing what would be the optimal communication method to use if a
client and a server co-host on one machine. and the magic word is
"sharedmem". (aix only)

these are what i put in my dsmserv.opt and dsm.sys file:
COMMmethod         sharedmem
   SHMPORT            1510


and this is what i have got:

$ dsmadmc

configuration: we're running our server on an aix4.1.5 box here. port 1510
               is not specified for anything in our /etc/services file.


any one care to shed a light on this? ideas, pointers are more than
welcome!! i appriciate your time.
