If you continue to do a "q pro" you will see that the numbers:
Full backup: 0 pages of 748302 backed up.
will continue to grow...that includes the "of xxxxxx" number.
It is just where your q pro occured before the backup process had
finished scanning the DB and it was just reporting what it knew at the
time...
later

Subject: ADSM Upgrade from V2 to V3

Hi All,
Yesterday, we upgraded our ADSM server from version 2.1.0.13 to 3.1.1.2.
All went OK except for one thing.
When we started the ADSM upgrade, we had only one scratch tape in the
library; but after the upgrade the server shows 55 scratch tapes.
Furthermore, when I performed a full ADSM database backup, I received the
following:
adsm> q pr

The used pages are 1,594,200 and only 748302 appeared for database backup.
We used "dsmserv upgradedb" to upgrade our V2 ADSM database to V3.
Based on your expertise, could you please assist us in figuring this
mystery out? Would greatly appreciate your help.
We are running ADSM server on AIX 4.1.5 with ACSLS driven STK library 9710.
Thanks,
Naveed
