One of my customers has been testing some data they did a scheduled archive
on.  This data had been restored to a Unix machine, copied to an NT server,
archived using the ADSM archive schedule and retrieved using the ADSM
graphical interface.  Does anybody have any experience with the problem she's
describing here?  Does anybody have any best guesses as to why they might be
having trouble retrieving these files or why ADSM would "lock up" like that?
Is this just a performance problem?  Any thoughts would help.

Beth has tested retrieving files from ADSM on her workstation. She was
running into the same problems that I was (between 4 and 4:40pm on Friday
5/8). She was able to retrieve 3 files from the same directory but when she
selected a few files in a few different directories, ADSM appears to just
stop.

There is no "waiting for off-line media" message, the window just sits there
with files restored 0. After about 15 minutes (of nothing happening), we
select the STOP button and wait for awhile and nothing happens so we end up
having to "end the task" to kill the entire ADSM window.

We are both running NT 4.0. Can you find out from the user group or IBM if
this is a know problem.
