Hi Craig!

I got this error Yesterday when trying to backup the database from one 
Backupserver to another and I fixed it this way:

Set the TCP/IP-Parameters tcp_sendspace and tcp_recvspace to TCPWindowsize 
*1024 (see RE: Server-to-server connection failures, ADSM-Mail response from 
Gary Bromley (thanks!)) and check your TCP-IP-Ports of your Client they should 
use all the same Port (f.e.
1500)!
