There seems to be some problems with this in version 3.
You should be able to force the root to be restored bydoing the following:
dsmc restore / -volinfo -dirsonly -test=disablenqr
Note that the test=disablenqr is only required if you are going to a version 3
server.

Hello all,
I'm finding that it seems impossible to restore the directory permissions
of the root directory or mount point of a file space (ie: file system) on
UNIX boxes. I am running at the latest client level ov V3 and I have
tested this on AIX and Solaris.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
