Hello to all

Here is my problem. We have a Hewlett Packard 80fx optical jukebox
attached as a SCSI device to our ADSM server running Windows NT4. The
intention is to use WORM media in it, as a legal requirement. When it
arrived on the 9th, two WORMs were labeled and checked in but we got the
same error on both (as below). We labeled a re-writeable optical disc as
OP0003, as a test.

command -> CHECKIN LIBVOLUME optical STATUS=SCRATCH SEARCH=YES

Log ->
04/09/1998 18:57:29 ANR8422I CHECKIN LIBVOLUME: Operation for library
OPTICAL started as process 2.
04/09/1998 18:57:58 ANR8430I Volume OP0003 has been checked into library
OPTICAL.
04/09/1998 18:58:05 ANR9999D pspvropt.c(1047): Optical Disk not valid for
product.

product.
04/09/1998 18:58:17 ANR8357I Error reading label of volume in drive
DRIVE02 (OP4.0.0.1) of library OPTICAL.
04/09/1998 18:58:21 ANR8431I CHECKIN LIBVOLUME process completed for
library OPTICAL; 1 volume(s) found.
04/09/1998 18:58:21 ANR0985I Process 2 for CHECKIN LIBVOLUME running in
the BACKGROUND completed with completion state SUCCESS at 18:58:21.

Optical support is enabled. ADSM is version 3 release 1 level 0.0 under
Windows NT 4.

Has anyone seen this before please? Is anyone else using WORM media?

TIA
Pete
