I'd be interested in knowing what techniques others have used with ADSM to
completely restore an NT server to operational status starting from a new
hard drive. Once the operating system and ADSM client are installed, the
rest is easy, but from what I know of ADSM, you are on your own until the
operating system is in place.

What techniques are others using?

A 'hot spare' server that is standing by with the ADSM client already
installed?

There is a product called GHOST that can be used to boot from a floppy
and
then copy a drive image to the hard drive. One technique would be to use
GHOST to copy the NT operating system and ADSM client in a single operation
and then invoke the ADSM client to restore the latest version registry and
any other software that was not included in the GHOST copy?

Other backup products such as Arcserve have a feature that allows one
boot
from a floppy and immediately begin the backup process.

Is anyone familiar with annoucement dates for a similar 'disk image'
restore for the NT ADSM client?

Thanks in advance for anyone who has experience to share.
