If the tapes are in filling status and have an access of read/write, it
should use them.  If they're all marked as full or they've been changed
to readonly, then you're out of luck.  Do a q vol (may want to include
f=d) to see their true state.

        Sorry, I did not explain my situation well.  There are no
scratch tapes,
        left in the library, however there is plenty of room on other
tapes for
        the move data and migration to occur.  Do move data and
migration
        require scratch tapes?
