Subject: ADSM (Aix) - Include/Exclude list syntax ?

Can anyone help me ? I posted a note on a similar subject a few weeks ago, and
had some responses, however I still seem to have
some problems.

I am trying to get the include/exclude options to work.

I have the following code in my include/exclude options file
(/etc/adsm.inclexcl)

exclude /unix
exclude /.../core
exclude /.../.SpaceMan/.../*
include /llog/speth01v72/log.Z[0-9] 10DAY
exclude /llog/speth01v72/log
exclude /sort2/*
exclude /sort2/.../*

The problem is that the file "log" (see directory listing below) is always
backed-up, along with the files "log.Zn". Is the syntax
of my exclude option correct ?

Also all files in the "/sort2" filesystem are also backed-up !

/llog/speth01v72}
-rw-rw-rw- 1 informix informix 24690688 Mar 31 14:17 log
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root informix 29 Mar 30 23:00 log.start
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root informix 29 Mar 30 23:00 log.start
-rw-rw-rw- 1 informix informix 729161 Mar 28 22:00 log.Z0
-rw-rw-rw- 1 informix informix 729161 Mar 28 22:00 log.Z0
-rw-rw-rw- 1 informix informix 1081681 Mar 27 22:00 log.Z3
-rw-rw-rw- 1 informix informix 1081681 Mar 27 22:00 log.Z3
-rw-rw-rw- 1 informix informix 150453577 Mar 27 18:40 log.Z2
-rw-rw-rw- 1 informix informix 150453577 Mar 27 18:40 log.Z2
should i be using "exclude /.../sort2/*" ? Surely this would backup ANY
directory/subdirectory called "sort2" ?

Any help on the correct way to get the exclude option working would be
appreciated.
