Hopefully I didn't clip too much.  You made a comment on my note as follows:

Be careful, here.  If you run Normal node, then what you say is true.  But if
you run "rollforward", then it is not.   The log information is held over a
restart, so a restart doesn't help clear it.  This is where ADSM won't come
back up.

A couple of weeks ago, at 2:00 on a Monday morning, I had to change the log
mode to Normal, so I could clear it.  The problem was that even after I
changed it, and issued the Halt, it wouldn't come down!  Had to do a "force"
to get it out.  In hindsight, I probably should have taken an SVC dump, but
by then, the value of the dump was probably questionable.
