I am seeing unpredictable results when restoring files from one
NetWare server to another.

ADSM Server for MVS - Version 2, Release 1, Level 0.13/0.13 Both
NetWare servers are at client level DSMC.NLM 2.01E (IP20850).

The following restore command was entered (on server C0306):

REST -fromn=c0305 c0305\sys1:apps/lmprod/data/*.*
C0306\sys1:apps/lmprod/data/ -subdir=no

The restore works like a charm. 588 files worth 1.3 gig
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Hit the up arrow to recall the command and hit enter after adding
-rep=no to command line (no other changes made). Six(6) more files were
restored ???>>??>>??. Repeated this process
restored ???>>??>>??. Repeated this process
two more times and the results were finally zero(0) files restored. Did
a query, missing file was found.. Able to restore file files without a
problem..

So basically, ADSM sees the file, but refuses to give it to me when I
request a full restore.

Have been running similar tests for the last few weeks and each time the
same 'problem' -- unpredictible results. On one of the tests I used the
-todate param (-todate=01/01/1998). Many files came back, but the user
pointed out that there were files missing. Example: file ALFIL025.log
pointed out that there were files missing. Example: file ALFIL025.log
from 08/12/1997 was restored (most active backup). File ALFIL027.log was
not restored (most active backup was also from 08/12/1997)
