Thanks to this listserv...which I might add is a lifesaver...I'm learning
alot about ADSM.
When using the passwordaccess generate option, I understand that after
the
first time you enter your password it will encrypt it and store it in a
file. Thereafter, obtaining the password from the encrypted file and
automatically obtaining a new one from the server when it expires.

My question is: say the user gets a new computer and ADSM is
installed
on this new computer. How without contacting the administrator of our ADSM
server can we find out what this encrypted password is so that we can enter
it for the first time when connecting to the server with the new computer?
Is it possible to just copy the encrypted password file (from where ever it
is located on the old computer) to the new computer? And if so what is
this file called and where would it be located using the win32 3.1 client
for NT?
A second question... is there any way to find out what this encrypted
password is.. say for example we decide to take it off passwordaccess
generate and back to prompting without asking the ADSM administrator?

thanks in advance..
