Anyone using a 3570-b02 on a AS/400 running as a ADSM-server?

I have problem while accessing both drives at the same time.
Sometimes it works and sometimes, mostly, it doesn't.
I get a bunch of messages stating "timeout during mlb-operation"
and so on (see below). There's no problem with the tapes, I've
checked them out.
I don't think the problem is drive-related because sometimes
it's problem accessing drive 1 but not drive 2 and vice versa.

The mountlimit is set to 2 for the devclass.

The actlog reports:
ANR7808W OPEN Tape returend exception CPF415E
ANR9999D DSMSERVV2/QCSRC/PVRTAPE(2819):Errno: 3101 ->
   A non-recoverable I/O error occured.
and
ANR7808W DSPTAPCTG Command returned exception CPF67E4.
and
ANR7808W DSPTAPCTG Command returned exception CPF415E.
(timeout..) and
ANR7808W DSPTAPCTG Command returned exception CPF6708.
and
ANR7808W DSPTAPCTG Command returned exception CPF416A.
and so on.

Service-engineers have checked out the 3570.
The config should be right, I've been told.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to start
digging for a solution?
