Are we talking about AIX here?  If so, you can do a full system image
backup to a remote device if you have IBM's SYSBACK/6000 installed on
both machines.  My ADSM experience is NT based and there is currently
no image backup facility in the sense of a bootable recovery image; I
don't know about this on AIX.
