I believe ADSM Ver. 3 includes support for Server-to-Server Communication
which will allow ADSM to move data from one server
to another, data includes:
Database backups
Storage pool backups
Data that is backed up, archived, or space managed from client nodes
Client data migrated from storage pools on the source server
Any data that can be moved by EXPORT and IMPORT commands
You could actually, provided the right hardware and bandwidth setup an ADSM
server in another location (even a storage vault) and
backup the storage pools and DB to each other. Bandwidth being the Key
word.
If your server is AIX, check out a product by the name of Safe Distance by
Open Microsystems. They provide an offsite storage replication
product.
