Hi,
I found the clue in the 'dsm.configure' file.

I was missing the symbolic link /usr/bin/dsmtca -> software directory.
I deleted all the links because they were pointing to the wrong directory,
and only recreated 3 of them.Once I re-created the dsmtca link, the software
now starts correctly.  This link was not needed in the older version
Since I am on the topic, its a good thing I know a little more about 'inst'
than is mentioned in the Irix Installation documentation for ADSM.It is
certainly not detailed or accurate enough for a first time user. At least
mention that users should check the target and bin directories.
