We have some scripts (running on AIX) which run to get all events from the
log and perform a variety of actions depending upon the message. The main
script sets off a console session as a co-process and reads output from this
then kicking off a number of other scripts dependant upon messages. This
method has the advantage of not doing a lot of q act's and being real-time.
The other scripts can for example look at accounting information when a
session end message appears, send errors and warnings to CA-Unicenter, log
all mounts and dismounts and other tape activity for capacity planning
