Bernd,
I believe if you change your INCLUDE statements (or add new ones) to =
this
node's profile, and some files that used to be handled in one management
pool is now controlled by a different management pool, by action of the
INCLUDE statement, each file that was directly affected by that =
statement
is included in the count of "objects updated".

The file does not get backed up again (unless, it had changed) but is
simply an ADSM database update relating those files to new MANAGEMENT
CLASS(es).

I hope someone else will confirm this.

Subject: Question

Hi All,
my daily incr. backups tell me the following normal messages:

.
.
.
01/13/98 03:22:15 Total number of objects inspected: 79,122
01/13/98 03:22:15 Total number of objects backed up: 3,946
01/13/98 03:22:15 Total number of objects updated: 23
01/13/98 03:22:15 Total number of objects rebound: 0
01/13/98 03:22:15 Total number of objects deleted: 1,539
.
.
.
Now my question: what are/is the condition for ADSM to "update" a file
(line 3)?
How can I force this condition?
Thanks for the answer(s)
