Something to keep in mind when backing up Outlook or Exchange client files...

Microsoft documents (MSDN) that the Outlook/Exchange client will automatically
disconnect from the .pst files after 30 minutes of inactivity.
When subsequent activity occurs, the client will reconnect
to the .pst files.
So, if the backup runs while Outlook/Exchange is disconnected,
it probably works, otherwise, the files are locked.
Of course, the safest thing to do is shutdown Outlook
before running the backup.
