I just installed the latest V3 Win32 client PTF, which identifies itself
as:

ADSTAR Distributed Storage Manager 32-Bit Windows Backup Client
Version 3 Release 1, Level 0.1  PTF 1 IP21169 (Intel)

In the README file for this client, it does say that PASSWORDACCESS is
supported.

        You might want to take another look at your manual. Mine says
that
        parameter is only good for Unix and OS/2 machines. Page 174
