Hello,
I have just upgraded the AIX4.1.4-Client from 2.1.0.2 to version 2.1.0.6G
and receive the following (absolutely new) behavour :
Archiving from the GUI-client I get *first* the error 'TCP/IP communication
failure'
and only the *second* try works fine. This two-step procedure is
disappointing.
(BTW : Server is 2.1.0.6 on AIX 4.1.4). The errors :
dsmerror.log yields :
12/10/97 11:36:57 TcpRead: Zero byte buffer read.
12/10/97 11:36:57 sessRecvVerb: Error -50 from call to 'readRtn'.
12/10/97 11:36:57 TCP/IP communications failure
Query actlog :
12/10/1997 11:31:24 ANR0400I Session 4626 started for node KWS9 (AIX).
12/10/1997 11:37:17 ANR0444W Protocol error on session 4626 for node
KWS9
(AIX) - out-of-sequence verb (type (Unknown))
received.
12/10/1997 11:37:17 ANR0484W Session 4626 for node KWS9 (AIX)
terminated -
protocol violation detected.
...and the Admin-Tool :
adsm> help ANR0444W
ANR2307E No help text could be found for this message: ANR0444W.
Any idea to make this guy working at the *first* start ?
Are there any TCP-Parameters to tune for ADSM ?...which one...and why ?
Martin
