I have made a ADSM monitor, but it's not written in Perl.
It's written in Tcl (by Sun). What it does is starting dsmadmc with -cons
option, and just
wait for an filevent on the output. It will then send a mail on specified
Adsm messages (msg nr).
These numbers are taken from one of the ADSM redbooks, and it easy to add
yours.
This program is easy to change, you could add support for pager or
whaterver.
To have it running you need the tcl/tk package (http://www.sunscript.com)

like Perl.
