I also got this type of error message last week.  We were trying to restore
the data of a WINDOWS NT client to their new WINDOWS 95 workstation and
kept getting the same error.  Does anybody know what this is?

Since a few days I get an error message when backing up our userhome
server:

The description of the ANS4031S error is:
ANS4031S Internal program error.  Please see your service
       representative.
Explanation:  An unexpected program failure occurred.
System Action:  Processing stopped.
User Response:  Retry the operation.  If the problem continues, see your
system administrator or your service representative.






The server holds approx. 45 GB of data in the large filespace, we use
ADSM V2 PTF6 as client on an NT platform.
Server is ADSM V2 MVS/OS390.


Does anyone have experience with this kind of error message? Any hints,
how to get ADSM to backup the rest of the server.
It would be ok, when ADSM skipped an unreadable file, unfortunately ADSM
does not say which file produces the error and simply stops...
