For those of you using backint 2.x for SAP/R3 - are you running multiple
sessions to multiple tapes in the same storage pool, or are you using
multiple storage pools? I'm looking at the trade-offs between multiple
storage pools, and being able to back them up concurrently versus the
administrative overhead of the multiple pools.
Right now I have just one storage pool for all archives - but all my
archives have the same retention, so I don't need to worry about tape
reclamation. I use one DLT cartridge per day, I get one back on my daily
expire. Depending upon how I handle the production SAP environment (just
getting it set up) I'll be using up to four every two days and getting
them back at the same rate.
TIA -
