Julie,

The advice I got from my local rep included, among other things, using
the internal backup capabilities of SQL Server to write your backup to
disk then let ADSM move it off to tape or wherever. This would
obviously depend on the size of your database but it is the approach
we are likely to take given a very small SQL Server database.

He also made a "watch this space" comment regarding ADSM V3 if I
remember rightly.

Hi all,
Hi all,
I just found out we need to backup a Microsoft SQL server. I have a
Using ADSM to backup databases paper from March that says ADSM
development is working on an ADSMConnect Agent for the Microsoft SQL
server. Does anyone know the status of that? If you have the MS SQL
server, how are you backing it up? Offline? With Seagate's
BackupExec?
Any recommendations?
Thanks!
