Sure, it does not hurt to show it to him and maybe it will help. Why don't
you forward it to him or if you prefer, I can do it.

Bert,
even when some files failed to be saved during backup, you'll see the
backup status "completed".
You get the status "failed", when an error occured that stopped the
scheduled backup, e.g. a network error or a timeout.
To get a more detailed report from our clients I run a daily batch that
collects all "dsmsched.log" files and searches for the string
"incremental backup of '". Based on the output I can take a closer look
on the logfiles when there were more errors than expected.
Example for the output:
hestia.log:09/02/1997 02:26:49 Successful incremental backup of 'C:'
hestia.log:09/02/1997 02:30:11 ANS4638E Incremental backup of 'D:'
finished with 1 failure
iris.log:09/02/1997 02:42:03 ANS4638E Incremental backup of 'C:'
finished with 4 failure
iris.log:09/02/1997 02:42:29 Successful incremental backup of 'D:'
kallisto.log:09/02/1997 01:45:13 Successful incremental backup of 'C:'
kallisto.log:09/02/1997 01:47:26 Successful incremental backup of 'D:'
Regards,
Michael
