I'm not aware of an actual alert function, but you'll find antries in
the dsmerror.log, dsmsched.log, and the NT event log. The NT event log
(application log) only tells you that access failed; you need to check
the dsm*.logs to find out what file or directory triggered the event.
OTOH, if the NT event log has no red 'stop' signs you don't need to read
the detail.
