No, it does not. MVS can only understand the following protocols:
APPC, 3270, ACF/VTAM, TCP/IP and with O/E MVS CLIOS to AIX
clients.

If you want to backup using Netbios, you'll have to look at using
an OS/2 or Win/NT ADSM server instead of MVS.
