Is there anyone backing up VMARK Universe database files? The reason is
that I've just begun backing one up and have experienced some problems
that no one has been bale to answer. The The database is VMARK Universe
V9.3.1
and is running on a J40 AIX 4.2 system. There is roughly 40+ GB of data
on the system, of which 20+ GB is changed every day. I'm using MVS as
the ADSM server. I do use dynamic serialization and mode is modified.
At the end of the schedule only about 3 GB is backed up, and I have
several thousand files that are unsuccessfully backed up. There are no
errors in the error log, nor any ANS or ANR messages in the sched log
corresponding to the unsuccessful files. The size of the file seems to
have no bearing, nor the files that are being backed. Has anyone
experienced a similiar problem with another database, or this particular
database? Thanks.
