thanks a lot for the answers to my question regarding MAC Names on
     NetWare Client. Inbetween the MAC namespace has been loaded, but we
     needed at least to reboot the client in order to do the proper
     restore. In fact we tried a lot and now occasionally it works and we
     are not really sure why.

     Answers to questions:

     1. how did you backup the data? mac client, netware client, dos
     client?
     NetWare Client only.

     2. is mac name space enable in the volume?
     Yes.
