I've noticed that directories under the root volume group are being backed up
regardless of what ever I
define in my Inclexcl list on my clients. We have a separate process that
creates bootable images of rootvg and
I want to exclude these file systems from my ADSM backups. I toyed with the
dsm.opt file on one of my clients and
included a domain statement listing the directories that I want to backup
excluding / /var /usr etc. .

The obvious problem with this is that when a new file system is added to a
node, I will have to include the fs in the
dsm.opt file or it won't get backed up. Does someone have an example of a
working Include/Exclude list that can
be posted for viewing excluding rootvg fs's? Or tell me what I'm doing wrong.

ADSM Server for AIX V2 R1 L5.12  (running on a 8 way R40)
ADSM Client for AIX V2 R1 L 0.6      (all AIX clients)
