Windows 95 gets ANS4031S during restore

I get this while trying to restore a Windows 95 system.  It seems to pick
files at random, but once it stops liking a file that's it.  Yet other
files restore okay.  Size etc doesn't seem to be related.  Does anyone
know what is going on here?  My 95 is OEM2 BTW.
