1) fddi rather than ethernet...
2) put them on the same subnet
3) split tcp/ip under MVS so your backup traffic doesn't compete with
the general public user
4) adjust the TXNblah parameters, 1 on the server & 1 on the client
I've got some OS/2 clients and an average, going into an Open System
Adapter (rather than a 3172) is around 0.5 GB per hour... if the
session is sending less data it seems to go faster. Example: 25,500KB
in 119 seconds which is @ 720 MB/hr

Hi,
MVS server w/OS/2 clients. TCP/IP transfer rate is about 80M per hr. Is
this too slow? How can I increase throughput? tcpwindowsize and
tcpbuffsize are at 32 (the max).
