What status do the tapes show to ADSM - in other words, if you do a Q VOL
TSN, F=d, what are the results? Does the tape show as Full, Filling, Empty?
Is the status read/write or readonly (or unavailable)?

We are currently running MVS 2.1.02 server with several UNIX clients.
TMS is our tape system on MVS.
The problem we are having is ADSM will call for a tape and TMS marks
the tape as belonging to ADSM.
ADSM will decide to not use the tape for whatever reason.
Accordingly, the tape then is still in the possession of ADSM
according to TMS, but ADSM says I don't know anything about that tape.
How do we get the tape returned to TMS's scratch pool.
We are very back maintenance and are having a heck of a time trying to
get this scheduled for maintenance through another group.
