This may or may not work for you, as my environment is 'slightly' different --

I'm running two Database Backup schedules - one goes to a disk file in the
root vg of my adsm server (AIX, a wide node on an SP frame); the other one
goes to an NFS-mounted directory on the SP frame's control workstation. My
database is well under one GB, and the two processes combined take less
than 20 minutes. Warning - they cannot run concurrently (one will run, the
other will complain and quit).
