CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME ???

We have just attempted our first real live Netware File server rebuild
after a disk crash yesterday.
We run ADSM Server V1 on MVS and the Netware client in question is
Netware 3.11 running ADSM V2 Rel 0.5

The original server contained three volumes, SYS, SYS1 and SYS2.
The new server was built with only SYS and SYS1.

The Netware guys wanted to restore both SYS1 and SYS2 back to SYS1.
The original server had one directory (plus subdirectories) under SYS1
called DEVAPPS and one directory (plus subdirectories) under SYS2 called
DEVTOOLS.

The commands used to do the restores were :

RES -LA -SUBD=YES -REP=YES SYS1:* DEV/SYS1: and
RES -LA -SUBD=YES -REP=YES SYS2:* DEV/SYS1:

The commands were done via RCONSOLE under two different instances of
DSMC.NLM at the same time.

PROBLEM :
All the files from SYS2 appear to have been restored to SYS1:\DEVTOOLS
as expected and all appear to be there.
However, we are missing a large number of files from the original SYS1
volume. The files are not in any particular directory. In fact, we
have some directories which were partly restored (e.g. one directory now
has 30 files and should have over 1000).

When doing a QUERY BACKUP, I can see that the files all exist as active
backup versions and today, we have done a restore of a specific
directory using the command :
RES -SUBD=YES SYS1:\DEVAPPS\SYSTEM\CMDOS2\* and it has restored all
files OK without any problem

The -LA option was used by mistake, but my understanding is that this
means the latest inactive version of a file will be restored only if an
active version does not exist. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CONFIRM THIS ALSO?
