Oh my goodness, of course I had meant to write "cd /root/dev"...
I wonder why you need step 18. The miniroot will be deleted at
the next reboot, anyway.

Thanks for this important point! This is what distinguishes a real
desaster from a simulated one... I'll add this to my documentation.
