We experienced the same situation. Is this a Compaq or IBM problem?
This is a fine work-around, but we'd really like to know when/if there
are problems with our tape drives. We rely heavily on the Insight
Agents for detection of hardware failures, and turning off the SCSI
agent leaves us with no way to monitor these devices.
