We just attached our 3590 via ESCON channel to our 9672 from inside our 3494
 ATL.

 I tried to get ADSM to talk to it. I get the message:

        ANR9999D PVRCART(1572): UCB Device Type bytes 3/4 are 80/83, not a
        recognized CARTRIDGE device.

 I can't find this error message in any book/CD.

 If read IBMLINK correctly, ADSM MVS/VM SRV 3590 support is currently "in the
 works" with a Target Date of 97/04/14.

 Is this correct that ADSM does not know how to talk to the 3590 when it is
 ESCON attached ? Everything else we have can talk to it !
