Defining administrative schedules

ADSM 2.1.5.9 on AIX 4.1.4.
I am trying to define an administrative schedule for this command: q
event * type=admin f=d > /tmp/qevent.log
The schedule definition is accepted, and the schedule kicks off at the
right time, but gets "invalid parameter >".
The command works fine run interactively.
Is there some reason it should not work as a defined schedule? Or is
there some other way to get the same result?
