Dave,
Thanks for your reply. What happens if I use the scenario I suggested
and then a tape gets destroyed.
If the files were only backed up when in the disc pool how will I be
able to rebuild the contents of the tape? Would restore vol work? If so
would it try and bring the files back to the disc pool?
What I am trying to avoid is having multiply tape devices connected to
my server.
