adsm server does not start

Hello,
I am running adsm server on an IBM RS/6000 , AIX 4.1.3.
I configured the server for automated db backup.
Today the server crashed, because the log file si full and there seems to be no
volume available for db backup.
Wehn trying to start the server I get the following:
ANR7838S Server operation terminated.
ANR7837S Internal error LOGSEG871 detected.
0x10032394 *UNKNOWN*
0x10030810 *UNKNOWN*
0x10031180 *UNKNOWN*
0x100047B0 *UNKNOWN*
0xD0DEDE08 _pthread_body
Since the server is not running, I cannot start an admin console to handle
volumes or modify the size of the log space.
Has anyone an idea how to recover from this problem?
