HELP!!!!!

I am about to go into Production with backups on our Netware 3.12 and
4.1 file servers. We run ADSM server on MVS.

I have a problem trying to decide how to deal with a special requirement
we have on one of the Netware 3.12 servers.

We have 2 directories under the SYS2: volume which form the Payroll
system. Unfortunately, due to the nature of these files, it seems that
the modified date is not always updated and therefore, we have been
advised that incremental backup might not actually work on these
particular files.
What the Payroll people have asked for is a full backup of both
directories and subdirectories daily to be kept for 2 weeks.

THIS IS THE PROBLEM AS I SEE IT :

If I exclude these directories from the incremental backup, then I
cannot perform a selective backup on them.

I thought about changing the Domain statement so that SYS2: is not
included at all, then running a selective backup just of that volume.
However, this means that all other files on that volume will be backed
up whether they are changed or not and we could end up with multiple
backup versions of the same file and may not have previous versions of
the file itself.

I cannot use the Archive function as this does not seem to support the
-subdir option. I don't want to have to specify all subdirectory names
in case new ones are added and are missed from the backups.
in case new ones are added and are missed from the backups.

IF ANYONE CAN SEE A WAY AROUND THIS, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT.

Thanks.
