I have suggested evaluating IBM's Sybback product, which appears to
be mksysb done right. No formal decision has been made on whether to
carry out such an evaluation. For the moment my co-workers have
concluded that we can afford to be complacent because we keep at
least two generations of mksysb tapes at our off-site tape vault.
If the most recent mksysb for a given host proves to be unusable in
a disaster recovery situation we will be able to use the next most
recent mksysb tape.
