I need some feedback from the list concerning how best to maintain more
than one copy of my backups. In setting up ADSM out-of-the-box by
configuring a single stgpool that migrates to tape and ongoing incremental
backups, I'm presented with a problem. How do I protect myself in the
event of a tape media failure? I need to have all files duplicated at
least once on different media. How do I maintain such an environment?
Having all of one filesystem on 1 tape does not give me a warm and fuzzy
feeling. The way I see it, I have these options:
o Create a backup copy pool
o Force periodic full backups
o Make archives
Bear in mind that I have only 1 DLT4700 library at this time (more to some
soon). Any and all suggestions appreciated. Take care...
