Ann, When we did this we also made sure that we saved copies of the
following locally configured files from /usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin in another
place - to put back after the update (as the deinstallation process will
delete them):
adsmserv.licenses
devconfig
dsmaccnt.log
dsmserv.dsk
volumehistory
I think that was all - but do check out your local files. Do the update and
then put back the files and run the server up in the foreground first,
quickly disabling it, to check all is well before restarting for your
"service".
It worked smoothly for us, but as a precaution we also had to hand the
2.1.0.0 base and 2.1.0.9/10 in case regression was needed.
